Read Across America Week
Read Across America Day is Tuesday, March 2nd but in room 9, we will be celebrating all week! Along with the spirit weeks (see below), we will be learning and celebrating the authors of some wonderful children's books. Our focus next week will be on stories that include diversity, courage, leadership and friendship. You can find some of the books we will be reading HERE.
Reading Homework Next Week
This week our classroom was a "lab site" for a teacher training. We welcomed in Ms. Celena on Tuesday for our reading workshop time. I was so proud of my room 9 friends for showing off their reading skills not only to Ms. Celena but to others who were watching including all 1st grade teachers, Mr. A and Mrs. Billman!
