Woohoo! We have officially made it through the first week of 1st grade! It has been filled with jumping back in to learning, building friendships and fun!

We have started Reading Workshop! Students are working on building their reading stamina and what it takes to become a better reader.
We had a visit from the one and only Basketball Jones. He talked to us about kindness! He talked to us about doing the right thing and treating others right as well as Patriot Peace! Ask your student what Patriot Peace means! Some of our Room 9 students were asked to participate in his presentation, too!
Last but not least - we had our FIRST Mystery Reader!!
